Film poster analysis

 Language : The title gladiator implies a medieval warrior who is brave and will fight to the death in battle  therefor it will be a action film . also the fact that he is standing in the middle of the shot implies that he is the protagonist he also looks very fierce 

Industry : The film was directed by a famous director ridley scott who has made many other famous films like Alien, blade runner and last duel it also won many awards like  bafta best film 2001,academy award for best pictures and many other it also made a staggering $503.2M

Audience :This film was probably made more for men aged over 15 hence why the age is 15 plus as it has a lot of fighting and blood 

Representation : In the foreground we can see a strong male holding a sword this is accurate because this films is about the gladiator fights in the roman empire between 105 bc to 404 ad and that is what they wore and held  for battle. there is also a low key lighting which has connotations of a dark and eerie film the camera  shot used is a medium shot this is used to see the man in the foreground and his outfit but also the background where the film is set
